This is how, in 2013, Samsung invested in Corning, a glass manufacturer for mobile devices, which is called Gorilla Glass and is probably on your hearing. Remember their gorilla who advertises a glass company?
And then Samsung went on a long journey, in which they wanted to invent a design where the glass would not only be comfortable, but would withstand drops during everyday use. As a result, a technology was created that makes it possible not only to use glass, but to ensure that its performance is several times superior to its closest competitors. When someone talks about falling devices on concrete or asphalt, they always talk about the likelihood of surviving such a fall - no one can guarantee one hundred percent survival in any conditions, there are too many factors involved. But Corning has created a glass that beats all the competition, as you can see in their video.
Samsung has added its own design to this and made the surface of the S6 / S6 edge covered with glass on both sides. This is a bold step, since there are already a number of models with this design on the market and it is known that they do not tolerate falls well, and often even without them they are covered with a mesh of cracks, unable to withstand temperature extremes. But with the latest generation of Gorilla Glass 4, this can be avoided. The most expensive glass available on the market was saved for the flagship.
